Öreg kabátban születtem én,
moly fivéreim, nővérem és én.
Szekrény sötét zugában éltünk,
puha szövetbe szövötten éldegéltünk.

De jajj mire lárvából szép lepke lettem,
egyből csapdába estem,

I came to this life in an old coat
Had brothers and sisters, the world was remote
We spent our days in a dark wardrobe,
Weaved in the fabric, we were all set to grow.

But oh as from larva to moth I turned,
I was instantly trapped and nearly got burned.
From the blinding whiteness I cannot take flight
I keep chasing my shadow, when do we reunite?
