Water / Víz

Víz
Én vagyok a víz, mindig szomjazom,
érted gőzzé forrni én vagyok a víz.
Water
I am the water, I’m always thirsty.
By myself I can’t sooth my desire.
I run, though, as a rabbit, as the coward,
Rivers are waiting for me and far away seas.
Caressed to be your mirror, curved around you as a wawe,
To boil, to be the steam, for you, I an the water.
I am the water, and also, who pours your water out, I go to the sky to you,
To fall onto you.

Chess / Sakk

Sakk
Egy kis sakk?
Sakk és matt.
Aztán a győztes bábokról
leolvad a fekete festék.
Sakk és matt.
Sakk és matt.
Aztán a győztes bábokról
leolvad a fekete festék.
Majd színes álmokat szőnek körénk a fekete fecskék.
…gyere Kedvesem, kössünk békét!
Chess
Do you fancy a little chess?
Check and mate.
Then the black paint
Melts on the winning figures.
Check and mate.
Check and mate.
Then the black paint
Melts on the winning figures.
Then the black sparrows weave colourful dreams around us.
…come sweetheart, let’s make up!

Moth / Moly

Moly
Öreg kabátban születtem én,
moly fivéreim, nővérem és én.
Szekrény sötét zugában éltünk,
puha szövetbe szövötten éldegéltünk.
De jajj mire lárvából szép lepke lettem,
egyből csapdába estem,
és most lámpa körül körbe.körbe,
árnyékommal kergetőzve…
Moth
I came to this life in an old coat
Had brothers and sisters, the world was remote
We spent our days in a dark wardrobe,
Weaved in the fabric, we were all set to grow.
But oh as from larva to moth I turned,
I was instantly trapped and nearly got burned.
From the blinding whiteness I cannot take flight
I keep chasing my shadow, when do we reunite?
I keep chasing my shadow round and round…

Hajózni muszáj
Így, ahogy a földön fekve veled,
mellünkön mázsás a föld.
Én azt mondom, ne higgyük el,
ne higgyük el, hogy mindez értünk volt!
Dagadó vitorlánkat a szélnek fordítsd,
mert hajózni muszáj,
idegenként járva, messzire magasra vágyva,
ott sem marasztal senki, de hajózni muszáj.
Hét hordóban a bánat, ennyi a bor,
nálunk se fegyver, se pénz,
dallal a szívemben jöttem,
Dallal a szívemben jöttem,
Navigare Necesse Est
This way, as lying with you on the ground,
On our breast the soil a quintal.
I say, let’s believe it not,
let’s believe it not, that is all was for us!
Let our swelling sail turn towards the wind,
Because we must sail.
Wandering as a stranger, longing to be far and high above,
Nobody makes you stay, but we must sail.
Sorrow in seven barrels, just as much as wine,
Neither money, nor guns on us.
I came with a song in my heart,
But in my hand there was nothing, but a knife.
I came with a song in my heart,
But in my hand there was nothing, but a knife.
I believe, also with a knife in my hand God blesses me.
My fortune, my good lungs and feet,
I’ve been wandering among you as a stranger,
I’ll go, if I’m not needed,
You know, in my hand there’s been noting, but a knife.

Lélekfarsang
Csillagtalan sötét éjjel,
Kerestelek lámpafénnyel.
Ha te arra, én majd erre,
ne várjunk elmúlt szerelemre.
Miért nem születtem én madárnak,
hogy az égen olyan magasan szálljak,
hol többé földi szemek már nem látnak,
s nem akar senki már csak magának.
Öltözik a lélek, álarcban már a szív.
Vigyázzon, ki engem ilyesmi táncba hív,
tizenkét hónapból, farsangkor születtem,
hazudni szokásom, rejtőzni természetem.
Utánam jár, de nyomomba sosem ér,
árnyék, de a fénytől mégsem fél.
Bolondság van a szemében,
ártatlan, de hamisság van a szívében.
Madár vagyok, csupa toll és dísz,
vigyázz, ha ölelni magadhoz a földre hívsz.
Tizenkét hónapból, farsangkor születtem,
hazudni szokásom, rejtőzni természetem.
Spirit Masquerade
Starless and dark was the night
When I set out to find you by lantern light.
You take one road and I’ll take another,
Now you’re nothing but my past lover.
I should have been born a bird
In the sky I would fly unheard
And unseen by earthly eyes
Away from their selfish desires.
My spirit is getting dressed, there’s a mask on my heart
Take me to dance and prepare to depart
I was born in carnival season,
I lie to you and hide without reason.
He’s following me but only sees my tracks,
He’s a shadow but unafraid when light attacks.
The look he gives me says he’s foolish.
He’s innocent, yet I see his untrue wish.
I’m a bird with feathers, dressed for parade,
When you call me to land and embrace you, I may fade.
I was born in carnival season,
I lie to you and hide without reason.

Half a Coat / Fél kabát

hogyha volna, milyen volna, hogyha volna, holnap milyen volna?
Half a Coat
Imagine the topcoat we would share – come rain or shine,
We’d wear it together all through the year, your hand held in mine.
Wherever you’d go, I would follow, wouldn’t care about tomorrow.
Imagine the days we would share, imagine the days we would share, wouldn’t care about tomorrow.
Have you ever seen anyone alone wearing half a coat?
Wherever you’d head, I would follow, now I must go my way.
Hold me and let go, lift me up to the sky, hold me and let go, lift me up high.
Have you ever seen anyone alone wearing half a coat?
Have you ever seen anyone alone?
